Come and join us” says newly elected chairperson

“ The Kenilworth Society is for everybody who lives here and cares about the future of our heritage town”, this is the message from  Margi Levy, recently elected to chair the Society.

“Kenilworth is a wonderful place, full of history and a great sense of community.  Through the meetings and events run by the Society I have been able to find out more about our local heritage.”

But Margi warns that we must not lose the things that have given Kenilworth its special character, “History shows that Kenilworth is not a place that says no to change. Looking back to the times of Elizabeth I, through the railway age of the 19th century, and massive expansion  of the 1960s and 70s, change has always been welcomed.”

Explaining the key policy of the Kenilworth Society she explains, “Change must happen with the consent of the local community.”
